Fiberline profiles are manufactured in a continuous process called pultrusion. During this process reinforced fibres are passed through a heated die where they are impregnated with liquid polymer and cured in their final geometry. Most Fiberline profiles consist of 60-70% glass and 30-40% thermosetting polymer.
The pultrusion method used by Fiberline takes place in a fully enclosed process which keeps the evaporation of volatile substances to a minimum.
As the curing process is exothermic (develops its own heat), energy consumption per unit produced is also extremely low.
