Danish Fibreglass for the German Railway

Fiberline Composites has just now succeeded in obtaining a much desired approval by the Eisenbahn Bundesamt (EBA). This means that the company's structural profiles made of fibreglass can enter into all construction works initiated by Deutsche Bahn.

Fibreglass composite features a number of unique advantages which make it a suitable construction material in connection with railways. The light, strong and corrosion-resistant material, which is electrically insulating, is well suited for railway bridges, platforms, canopies and many other things. The EBA approval is therefore an important milestone for Fiberline in its efforts to become a major supplier to the German railway sector.

First Allgemeine Bauzulassung, now EBA
The EBA approval follows in the wake of another important approval, namely the Allgemeine Bauzulassung that Fiberline received just after New Year. Vice President of Fiberline's Structural Profiles business, Jan Pasfall elaborates:
The EBA approval opens a door to a whole new market for Fiberline. The Allgemeine Bauzulassung made it easier and cheaper for our customers in the general building industry to use our profiles - the EBA approval makes it possible for the German railway sector to benefit from the qualities of our fibreglass profiles".
