You will be given independent responsibility in an ambitious organisation and have opportunity to exchange ideas with able and experienced associates across the areas of sales, product development and production.
Roles and responsibilities
You will play a key role in addressing a growing need for increased strategic focus on supplier selection and management. You will be responsible for carrying out our global raw materials sourcing process and consistently matching it to our needs. You will also contribute to further developing our sourcing strategy so we can realise our growth plans. As choice of suppliers and components is crucially dependent on a qualified assessment, you will act as a commercial and technical sparring partner for our engineers when we define a need for raw materials. You will analyse the options in the market, and identify, visit and rate the potential suppliers. You will also head supplier negotiations based on an overall assessment of technological, commercial, logistic and strategic factors. You will conduct supplier evaluations, focus on optimising supplier performance, and implement and follow up measures. An important task will be to maintain and expand an international network of suppliers, and an integral part of your work will be to monitor development and trends in the market.
You will report to our Chief Procurement Officer.
You should have either a technical background as an engineer supplemented by a qualification in supply chain management, or a commercial background as an MSc. in global logistics or supply chain management combined with sourcing experience from a comparable industrial company where you have previously created concrete results. You have a strongly highly analytical approach combined with focus on supply chain optimisation. You should be accustomed to working in the interface between specified requirements and overall supplier capabilities. You are an accomplished negotiator capable of driving a hard bargain to get the deal done. You reach your goals through your ability to take responsibility for and drive the entire sourcing process. You are good at building and maintaining relationships and networks, and you have strong English and Danish communication skills, both verbal and written. You should be a user of the IT tools which support your processes.
