Our strip profiles are corrosion-free and have a long life, even in demanding and corrosive conditions, such as in offshore installations and at wastewater treatment plants. This gives them a long functional life, with minimal or even no maintenance.
Gluing fibreglass depends on the type of job involved, but it is usually very easy to do. You can glue fibreglass to fibreglass, steel, timber and concrete. We recommend that you should always prepare the gluing site by sandpapering it and then cleaning it to remove any dust, paint, oil etc. This will give better adherence, thereby increasing the life span of the object. We recommend that you use a two-part epoxy adhesive for gluing fibreglass to create strong joints. It is always advisable to follow manufacturer's instructions for mixing and drying time. The glue should be applied with a layer thickness of 0.1-2 mm on both sides of every joint for improved adherence. Although this can vary depending on the task. Fibreglass can quite easily be glued to steel and create strong joints – provided that these are made correctly. We recommend that you prepare both surfaces using sandpaper of a grade of 60-100 at the fiberglass/steel bonding surfaces, and clean them to remove dust, dirt and oil and thus give the best possible adherence to both materials. In case of gluing epoxy resin surfaces or galvanized steel,
