Four different bridges in the City of Menden, outside Dortmund, in Germany, were refurbished using Fiberline’s GFRP composite profiles, which require minimal maintenance and are corrosion-free.

All the four bridges were made of timber, which over the years had rotten and was becoming an unsafe and slippery ground for the cyclist and pedestrians. Our fibreglass profiles are resistant to harsh weather conditions and water. This makes them ideal for bridges and constructions, where there is a risk of corrosion.

Furthermore, Fiberline’s fiberglass profiles can easily be painted in any colour you like. For the four bridges in Menden, the result was a beautiful explosion of colours, as the city decided to paint the deck of the bridges in the colours: blue, red, orange and yellow.

Our fibreglass profiles are also a cost-effective alternative to other building materials because they have a long life and require only minimal maintenance. At the same time, they offer other advantages such as a low weight and ease of use, reducing your costs overall.
