Scandinavia’s first composite bridge turns 25

It has now been 25 years since Kolding Municipality took the brave and mould-breaking decision to build a composite bridge over the railway line in Strandhuse, Denmark. The bridge remains in place today as a testament to the suitability of composite when it comes to bridges.  

We have been chatting to Henrik Thorning, who was the pioneer behind the project back in 1997, and Torben Rønlev, CEO of Fiberline Building Profiles, to hear more about the composite bridge back then and today.
