Jesperhus waterpark in Denmark is used in winter as a municipal swimming bath. In summer, however, families with children are the primary target group and child safety is paramount. As some 225,000 families visit Jesperhus each summer it was decided in spring 2017 to make the entire pool child-safe by fitting the deep end with a flexible, removable bottom.

The material chosen for this purpose is non-corrosive fibreglass, which combines extreme durability in chlorinated water with very light weight. This is a distinct advantage for staff as the bottom will be removed in autumn and put back in spring.
