As part of a bridge infrastructure upgrade in LendogĂłra in Poland, the existing structure required either major refurbishment or full replacement. Traditional materials such as timber or steel would have involved ongoing maintenance, corrosion risks, and periodic protection works.
Instead, the project team selected a modern solution based on structural FRP profiles and planks from Fiberline Building Profiles. The reason for this is because FRP provide a durable and efficient alternative to conventional construction materials, offering:
By choosing Fiberlineâs FRP solution, the investor was able to address the structural challenges of the bridge while significantly improving durability and safety - optimizing the total cost of ownership over the structureâs lifetime.
This project is another strong example of how structural composites are increasingly replacing traditional materials in modern bridge infrastructure.
